We fill backpacks with high-quality school supplies — the kind that actually last til June — and hand them free to K–12 kids in our community. Quality over quantity, always.

Twelve years ago we filled a handful of backpacks with the kind of supplies we'd want our own kids carrying. No dollar-store fillers. No stuff that breaks by October. Real notebooks, real pencils, real rulers, real backpacks.
Every year since, the squad has grown. More donations. More volunteers. More backpacks. We collect school supplies year-round, sort them into carefully packed bags for grades K–12, and give them free to families in our community.
Because a kid walking into class with the right tools walks in a little taller. That's the whole mission.
Every backpack is packed grade-by-grade with the exact supplies teachers actually ask for. Quality brands. Enough to last all year.
Sorting parties, packing days, distribution events. Come solo, bring your kids, bring your whole crew.
Monetary gifts or supply donations — every dollar and every pack of pencils goes straight into a kid's hands.
A small crew with a big mission, powered by hundreds of neighbors who show up year after year.

Started the squad in 2013 with a garage full of notebooks and a whole lot of hope.

Wrangles our sorting parties and somehow remembers every volunteer's name.

Builds the partnerships with schools, teachers, and families that make it all click.

The reason 500 backpacks arrive on distribution day exactly when they should.
Stacks of supplies, lines of families, and the kids who make it all worth it.

My daughter's face when she saw a real backpack with real supplies inside — I'll never forget it. Thank you, Squad.
We've partnered with the Backpack Squad for four years. They're the most organized, kind-hearted crew we work with.
I came to volunteer once. That was six years ago. This squad becomes family real fast.
Every family pays $0. But it helps to know what your donation covers — down to the grade.
